Net worth statements

I recommend you complete a net worth statement quarterly.
Here's what you'll need:

Bank statements (checking, savings, money market, IRA-you get the picture)
Mortgage statements (you’re looking for principal balance so if you don’t have paper statement you can get this online)
Approx value of real estate owned
Loan balances for credit cards, car loans, lines of credit (yes, all of them-let’s get them out into the light of day and see what happens)
Approx value of your car (go to kbb.com-put in the information and use the average of the values)
Loan balances on anyone who owes you money
Tax liability (if you pay quarterly & if you know it) or Tax refund (if you’ve already filed & haven’t received it yet)
